Over 500,000 people and 40% of the children in our community live in poverty. As the economy declines, an increasing number of people are slipping into poverty, losing their jobs and their homes. There has never been a greater need for free legal services in our community.
With government funding on the decline, increased private support is critical for Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. (LSGMI), the largest provider of broad-based civil legal services in our community. Together, We Must make sure that the neediest individuals and families in our community have housing, healthcare, disability benefits, and income security.
Community leaders have created the “Together, We Must” Campaign for Justice to keep the doors of justice open during these challenging times.
